Creating a Plan in Stellic
When you create your academic Plan in Stellic, you create a new path to help you reach your graduation goals. What are the impacts of you making changes to your Plan in Stellic?
Navigation
Start by logging into Stellic (https://stellic.cornell.edu/) and selecting the “Plan Your Path” tab in the left navigation bar.
What’s already there?
You’ll see all the courses you are already enrolled in already placed into your plan. The next step is to think about what courses you want to take during your time at Cornell.
Adding Courses to Semesters
Select one of your remaining requirements, let’s go with ANSC 2210 Animal Genetics. Click and drag that into the semester you want to take the course. We’ll select Spring 2025.
Release the course you dragged into the semester you want to take it in.
The course is added to the semester and now is no longer listed in the “Tentative List.”
Wrong Semester Error
If you try to add a course into a semester it normally isn’t offered, Stellic will let you know. Let’s try that now. We’ll click and drag ANSC 2210 to Winter 2024 instead. Here’s the error we expect to get.
Enrollment Error
Another error you might see is if you try to remove a course you are already enrolled in. Here we have an example of ANSC 2120 being enrolled in Fall 2024. If we attempt to remove it, Stellic lets us know that this won’t change our enrollment, only our plan. If you want to change your enrollment, use Student Center during an enrollment period to make adjustments..
Request to Review
And those are the basics of building your plan! Your plan saves as you go, so feel free to try new things. When you’re done, click “Request to Review Plan” at the top of the plan to have your advisor check out your path to graduation!
