Official vs. Unofficial Transcript

Official transcripts are produced through Parchment service, in conjunction with the University Registrar's Office. The official transcript can be ordered in hard-copy paper or as an eTranscript. The hard-copy paper format is issued on red tamper proof transcript paper, in landscape format, with the university seal and the University Registrar's signature. The eTranscript is issued in a certified PDF format. See Validating an eTranscript for further details. An official transcript is often requested by entities wanting to assure authenticity and accuracy of enrollment and degree information.

Unofficial transcripts are available to current students via self-service in Student Center. See Viewing Unofficial Transcript. The unofficial transcript is provided in a portrait format. There are content differences between an unofficial and official transcript. The unofficial transcript is a means for students to review their enrollment and degree information.
